AT A GLANCE
The IFCS 2019 conference theme is ‘Data Analysis and Rationality in a Complex World’. The conference opening will take place on August 26 late afternoon and pre-conference workshops will be held in the morning. The conference sessions will start on August 27 in the morning, and will close on August 29 with a full day conference program. The conference will include a President’s invited session and a Presidential address, invited presentations, invited and contributed sessions.

POST CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS
Post conference proceedings will be published in Studies in Classification, Data Analysis, and Knowledge Organization (Edited by Theodore Chadjipadelis, Berthold Lausen, Angelos Markos, Tae Rim Lee, Angela Montanari, Rebecca Nugent). Single papers can be made open access on payment of the open access to Springer.
Submission of full papers can be made via ConfTool Pro. The submission website will be available by November 1st.
Tentative Schedule
December 31, 2019 – Manuscript submission
January 30, 2020 – First notification
March 15, 2020 – Deadline revised manuscript submission
April 15, 2020 – Final decision
June 15, 2020 – Manuscript completion

- IFCS Research Medal for outstanding research achievements (age > 35)

Registration fees include participation to all sessions, conference material, lunches, coffee breaks and a welcome reception. The conference dinner is open to registered conference participants but additional registration is required (“See what is in the store” option in the registration page). The dinner fee is 50,00 € for regular participants and accompanying persons.
* IASC members are entitled to IFCS societies members reduced fees
** The Student fee is reserved to undergraduate, graduate, PhD students and postdoctoral fellows without a permanent position. Proof of status required.
*** The Accompanying person fee includes access to the welcome reception, lunches and coffee breaks and a tour in Thessaloniki city centre on Tuesday 27th August.
